Seafoam Fruit Cake Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. corn syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 lb. Brazil nuts
    3/4 lb. walnuts
    2/3 c. raisins
    1 c. citron, diced
    5 egg whites, beaten
    1 c. figs
Preparation
    Mix syrup, sugar and
    water and boil.
    Spread on cake layers. Beat egg whites; put syrup over fruit and nuts.
    Boil raisins 10 or 15 minutes.
    Drain.
    Pour syrup over raisins.
    Add fruit and nuts.
    Add egg whites last.
