Coconut Chess Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. corn meal
    1 stick butter
    3/4 tsp. soda, dissolved in 3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Mix sugar, flour and corn meal together, then add to butter.
    Add well beaten eggs to butter and sugar mixture. Then, add buttermilk and soda mixture; add vanilla, salt and coconut, if desired.
    Pour into unbaked 9 or 10-inch pie shell. Bake at 350\u00b0 until top is brown and filling is firm.
    Bake approximately 35 minutes.
