Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. top round steak, trimmed
meat tenderizer
4 Tbsp. butter
1 c. chopped onions
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. dill weed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. sour cream
1 can sliced mushrooms (6 oz.)
hot cooked rice
1 can beef broth (10 1/2 oz.)
Preparation

Sprinkle meat with meat tenderizer according to package directions.
Slice meat across the grain into 1/2-inch wide strips.
In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Add meat and cook over high heat until browned on all sides.
Remove from pan.
Add remaining butter to skillet.
Add onions and cook until tender.
Stir in flour, ketchup and salt and pepper to taste. Gradually add broth, stirring constantly.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in dill weed, mushroom soup and sour cream.
Add mushrooms and beef; cook, stirring constantly, until heated through.
Serve over hot cooked rice.
