Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together; cut in shortening and add buttermilk all at once.
    Mix well and roll out to 3/8-inch thickness and fold over.
    Roll slightly again.
    Cut out biscuits and bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes.
