Sweet 'N' Sour Stew Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew beef
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 medium carrots, sliced
    2 medium onions, chopped (1 c.)
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Brown beef in oil; drain fat.
    Add remaining ingredients, except the cornstarch and the tablespoon of water.
    Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
