Ingredients

1 qt. half and half
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 (1 lb.) coffee cans
2 (3 lb.) coffee cans
1 bag ice (small cubes are best)
rock salt
Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients together and pour in 1-pound coffee can.
(You will probably have enough liquid for two (1-pound) cans.)
Place lid on can and secure with duct tape.
Put this can inside of a 3-pound coffee can.
Place ice all the way around the smaller can.
Sprinkle a little rock salt on top of ice.
Close can.
Roll the can back and forth between several friends for about 10 minutes.
Open the can and drain the water.
Add more ice and salt.
(Pour melted salt water outside on gravel.)
Roll until the ice cream is frozen (30 to 40 minutes).
