Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sliced peaches
    1 stick margarine, softened
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Place peaches in a 9-inch baking pan.
    Combine margarine, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla in bowl, mixing well.
    Spoon over peaches.
    Pour mixture of 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water over the top of the batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serve hot or cold.
    Yields 6 servings.
