Old Time Coleslaw(Makes About 10 To 12 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium cabbage, shredded (about 12 c.)
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
1 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. each salt and pepper
Preparation

In a large bowl, combine cabbage and onion; cover with sugar and let stand for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine vinegar, oil, mustard, celery seed, salt and pepper; bring to a boil.
Pour over cabbage mixture and mix.
Let cool, then mix again.
Cover and store overnight in refrigerator.
Serve as a salad, relish or side dish.
