Banana Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. milk
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 qt. heavy cream
    12 egg yolks
    3 c. sugar
    6 ripe large bananas
Preparation
    Heat milk in a large saucepan, bringing it almost to a boil. In a large bowl, beat egg yolks until light.
    Add salt, stirring constantly.
    Slowly pour about half of the milk over the eggs. When well blended, return entire mixture to saucepan.
    Add sugar and cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until mixture is thick enough to coat a spoon.
