Venison In Beer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. roast
    3/4 to 1 tsp. salt
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    1 onion, sliced
    12 oz. beer
    6 slices bacon
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. boiling water
    2 bay leaves or substitute with basil
Preparation
    Salt and pepper the roast. Secure bacon around the meat with toothpicks and place in crock-pot. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water. Add onion, bay leaves, bouillon and beer to the crock-pot. Cook for 4 to 5 hours.
