Chicken Divan(Club Member: Kristi Mayfield) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. heavy cream (milk)
    3 Tbsp. cooking sherry
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 cooked chicken breasts, sliced
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Cook broccoli in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Place spears crosswise in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour. Add broth all at once and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Stir in cream, sherry, salt and dash of pepper. Pour half the sauce over broccoli. Top with chicken slices. To remaining sauce, add 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Pour over chicken and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes or until hot at 350\u00b0. Broil just until sauce is golden brown. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
