Oriental Green Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. chopped green pepper
    3 c. water
    1/3 c. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. ginger
    3/4 c. soy sauce
    1/3 c. water
    2 (7 oz.) cans bamboo sprouts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. pea pods
    1 small can sliced mushrooms
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    chow mein noodles
Preparation
    In skillet, brown the ground beef, celery, onion and green pepper until beef is browned.
    Drain.
    Add 3 cups water and bring to boil.
    Combine in a small bowl the cornstarch, sugar, ginger, soy sauce and 1/3 cup water.
    Add to meat mixture and cook until thickened.
    Stir in bamboo sprouts, pea pods, mushrooms and water chestnuts.
    Simmer until heated through.
    Serve over chow mein noodles or rice.
    It's a wonderful meal!
