Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening or whipped butter
6 eggs, separated
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond or 1/4 to 1 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation

Mix sugar and shortening well.
Add egg yolks, one at a time. Add sour cream and flavoring; beat well.
Add dry ingredients and beat 5 minutes.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0.
Cool in pan 5 minutes.
