Charlotte Russe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope plain gelatin
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    sherry (optional)
    1 pkg. ladyfingers
Preparation
    Soak gelatin in 1/3 cup boiling water*.
    Cool.
    Beat egg yolks; add sugar.
    Whip whipping cream and add vanilla.
    Beat egg whites.
    Mix egg yellows and gelatin.
    Add whipped cream and egg whites.
    Taste to see if sweet enough; add more sherry if needed. Pour into ladyfinger-lined bowl.
