Orange Slice Cake(Makes A 5-Pound Cake) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. soda
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 lb. candy orange slices, cut in small pieces
1 (4 oz.) can flaked coconut
1/2 lb. dates, cut in small pieces
2 c. broken pecan meats
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
Preparation

Combine the butter and sugar; stir in the eggs.
Add soda to buttermilk and add alternately with dry ingredients.
Add the orange slices, coconut, dates, pecans and orange peel.
Turn mixture into greased 10-inch tube pan.
Bake for 2 hours in a 300\u00b0 oven.
Allow to cool in pan overnight, setting on a cooling rack.
