Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. buttered cracker crumbs
    1/4 c. pecans
    1 lb. yellow squash, sliced thin
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 Tbsp. butter
    small amount minced onion (optional)
Preparation
    In a 1-quart casserole, place 2 tablespoons of butter and microwave 1/2 to 1 minute until melted.
    Add cracker crumbs and pecans.
    Microwave 3 minutes.
    Stir after half the time.
    Set aside.
