Cranberry Apple Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry Jell-O
1/2 c. cold water
2 c. chopped celery
2 c. chopped unpeeled apples
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Grind cranberries.
Add sugar and orange rind.
Mix well.
Let stand 30 minutes.
Stir in 1/2 cup boiling water to dissolve sugar.
Refrigerate while preparing Jell-O.
Stir Jell-O into 1 cup boiling water until dissolved.
Add 1/2 cup cold water; chill until slightly thickened.
Stir in cranberry mixture, celery, apples and walnuts.
Pour into 2 (3 cup) molds or 1 (6 cup) mold. Cover and chill until set.
Unmold onto serving plate.
Makes 12 servings.
