Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. cake flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Sift flour, salt and cocoa 3 times.
    Mix buttermilk, vinegar and food coloring together.
    Add alternately with flour mixture.
    Beat well.
    Fold in soda.
    Do not beat soda.
    Bake in 3 greased and floured cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, then ice.
