German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 6 c. sliced potatoes, boiled in jackets
2 c. chopped endive lettuce
1 c. chopped green onions with green tops
2 large cucumbers, sliced thinly
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
6 to 8 hard-boiled eggs
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. Wesson oil
Preparation

Slice cooked potatoes into large mixing bowl.
Distribute cucumbers on top, then alternate endive and onions.
Sprinkle around sugar, salt and pepper.
Scald vinegar and water to boiling.
Add oil and bring to boil again.
Pour slowly over top of lettuce, onions and seasonings on top of potatoes and cucumbers.
Lightly toss.
Slice eggs on top and lightly toss until blended.
