Spaghetti Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 oz. thin spaghetti, cooked and drained
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1 lb. lean ground beef (chuck or round)
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped bell pepper
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 c. grated Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Into the cooked spaghetti, stir the butter, Parmesan cheese and eggs and set aside.
In a skillet, saute the ground beef, onion and bell pepper until the vegetables are tender and the meat is browned.
Drain off the excess grease.
Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, garlic, water and mushrooms and simmer the mixture for 15 minutes.
Line a buttered 10-inch baking dish or pie pan with the spaghetti mixture.
Ladle the meat mixture onto the spaghetti.
Bake the dish, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese over the top and continue baking for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Serves 6.
