Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. cucumbers, sliced
    1 c. onions, sliced thin
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Put cucumbers and onions in a large bowl.
    Sprinkle with salt. Let them set for 1 hour.
    Drain, but don't rinse.
    Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the cucumbers.
    Refrigerate in a tightly covered container.
    The taste of these pickles will improve after 24 hours.
