Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 apples, peeled and cut into thimble-size pieces
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vegetable oil
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Mix 5 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon and apples and set aside. Sift together salt, flour, baking powder and sugar.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix oil, vanilla, eggs and orange juice in bowl.
    Add flour mixture and mix until blended.
    Layer mix and apples in greased and floured pan (3 layers of each, beginning with mix and ending with apples).
    Bake 1 hour or longer, if necessary.
