Oatmeal Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. each salt and soda
    3 c. quick cooking oats
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, nuts and oats.
    Mix. Form in long roll. Chill thoroughly.
    Slice in 1/4-inch pieces. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Make 5 dozen.
