Two Step Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. unsalted butter
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    1/3 c. confectioners sugar (plus more for sprinkling)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 large eggs
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    2 tsp. grated lemon zest
    yellow food coloring
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix softened butter with the 1 cup of flour and the confectioners sugar until mixture is crumbly. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
    Press butter mixture into pan.
    Bake 20 minutes until set.
    Cool.
