Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Beat eggs in large bowl (but not foamy), then beat in shortening and sugar until creamy in texture.
    Add buttermilk, vanilla and food coloring.
    Blend well.
    Sift together flour, cocoa and salt.
    Add to shortening and sugar mixture and beat well.
