Mush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil water; combine remaining ingredients and add to boiling water, stirring constantly.
    Cook until thick, stirring frequently.
    Cover; continue cooking
    on low for 10 to 15 minutes. Pour into loaf pan.
    Cool.
    Cut in 1/4-inch slices and fry slowly in small amount of hot fat until golden brown.
