Ham-Potato Au Gratin - cooking recipe

4 c. cubed potatoes
2 c. diced, cooked ham
1 can sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. flour
1 c. milk
4 oz. sharp American cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
1 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

Boil potatoes 10 minutes; drain.
Layer potatoes, ham and drained mushrooms in shallow 2-quart casserole.
In medium saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter.
Stir in flour, blending thoroughly.
Slowly add milk, stirring until thickened.
Fold in cheese and sour cream and pour over casserole.
Combine crumbs and 1 tablespoon melted butter; sprinkle over casserole.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes until hot and bubbly.
