Cracklin Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. self-rising corn meal
1/2 c. buttermilk (more or less)
1 c. cracklins
1/2 c. flour
1 egg

Preparation

Combine all ingredients (may need more milk to make batter thin enough to pour in pan).
For best results, spray 9-inch iron skillet with cooking spray (like Pam).
Bake at 425\u00b0 until edges of bread are showing brown.
Turn on broil and brown top.
