Golden Glow Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. cucumbers (large ripe)
    2 sweet red peppers
    3 medium onions
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    3 Tbsp. salt (pickling)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    6 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Peel cucumbers, slice in half and remove seeds.
    Dice into chunks.
    Cook slowly with all ingredients added, until tender. Fill jars with cukes and pour hot sauce over them.
    Seal tight. Ready after 24 hours cooling.
