Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. water
1 c. sugar
pinch of salt
2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
2 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
red food coloring
2 Tbsp. strawberry jello
1 qt. strawberries

Preparation

Cook water, sugar, corn syrup and cornstarch in double boiler until thick.
Add food coloring and jello to mixture.
When mixture is cool, add strawberries.
Pour into a 9-inch baked pie crust.
Top with Dream Whip and serve.
