Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
6 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. flour, sifted
6 Tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add cocoa.
Alternately add milk and flour; beat well after each addition.
Add salt, baking powder and vanilla.
Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
