Alabama Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
    1 3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. dark corn syrup
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 Tbsp. water
    3 eggs
    1 1/4 c. pecan halves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Mix sugar, corn syrup, water and margarine in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat; let cool.
    Beat eggs in a large bowl; gradually add syrup mixture, then salt and vanilla extract.
    Add nuts.
    Pour into pastry shell.
    With a knife, flip over the pecan halves that are not facing up.
    (My mother always did this.)
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 50 minutes.
