Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef round steak
    8 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    bacon drippings
    2 c. water
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 onion, sliced
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Cut beef in narrow strips.
    Toss in mixture of 6 tablespoons flour, salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
    Brown in small amount of bacon drippings.
    Add water, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, mushrooms and onion.
    Cover and simmer until tender.
    Add paste of 2 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons water.
    Add slowly to meat.
    Simmer until thick.
    Add sour cream.
    Do not boil.
    Serve over rice.
    Serves 6 to 8 people.
