Strawberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box white Duncan Hines cake mix
    1 pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. salad oil
    4 eggs
    1/2 box frozen strawberries (save the other half, retaining most of the berries)
Preparation
    Add the gelatin, water and oil to the cake mix; beat until smooth.
    Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
    Add berries and mix well.
    Bake in a greased, floured pan.
    This makes three layers.
    Let the layers cool completely and fill with the icing mixture; make as follows:
