Hamburger Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    garlic to taste
    1/4 c. butter
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 pkg. wide egg noodles
    1 (8 oz.) can drained mushrooms
    cream of chicken or mushroom soup, undiluted
    8 oz. sour cream
Preparation
    Brown meat and drain.
    Stir in onion, butter, garlic, flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Stir in soup with 1/2 can milk.
    Simmer, uncovered, until onions are cooked through. Stir in sour cream and heat through.
    Cook egg noodles according to directions.
    Pour stroganoff over noodles.
    Stroganoff can also be served with white rice.
