Baked French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. sliced onions (preferably 4 Walla Walla or 2 red and 2 yellow or white)
    1 glove garlic (more to taste)
    1/4 c. butter
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans condensed beef broth
    3/4 c. dry white wine
    3/4 c. red wine
    1/4 c. medium dry sherry
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 c. grated Emmenthaler Swiss cheese
    1 c. grated Gruyere cheese
    1/4 c. Parmesan-Romano cheese
Preparation
    Saute onions and garlic in butter until limp.
    Mix in beef broth, wines, Worcestershire sauce and salt.
    Heat through. Ladle into 4 to 6 ovenproof bowls.
    Top each serving with one slice of French bread or croutons.
