Chinese Chews - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick butter or margarine
1 box brown sugar
3 eggs
2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. coconut flakes
Preparation

Mix well and bake in a 13 x 9-inch pan at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with confectioners sugar. When cool, cut in small squares.
