Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. milk
    1 can cherries, peaches, etc.
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Melt margarine in a 2-quart dish.
    Mix sugar, flour and milk together.
    Pour batter into the butter.
    Add cherries sweetened to taste.
    Add about 1 1/2 cups sugar and lemon juice.
    Do not stir or mix.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 to 50 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream or plain.
