Mimi'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. grape jam
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Strawberry jam may be used.
    Bake in three layers at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until sides turn loose and springs back to touch.
