Angel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Boil sugar, syrup and water to the hard ball stage.
    Add vanilla and pour over egg whites.
    Beat until of spreading consistency.
    In case you should fail to cook the syrup to the right stage, a small amount of sifted powdered sugar added to the mixture will help.
