Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. cubed steaks
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 large green pepper, sliced
    1 small can mushrooms
    1 (32 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onions and peppers in a skillet with a little oil. Place in a crock-pot.
    Brown steak in skillet and place in crock-pot.
    Mix tomato sauce, sugar, mushrooms, parsley flakes, salt and pepper together.
    Pour over steak.
    Stir.
    Let simmer 2 to 3 hours or until done.
    Serve with rice.
