Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix first 2 ingredients together and let stand.
    Cream the shortening and sugars together.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Stir in flour, cinnamon, soda and salt.
    Add the oatmeal and water mixture; beat well.
    Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
