Fruit Roll Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/3 c. dark corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
    extra coconut (for rolling candy log)
Preparation
    Place sugar, milk, syrup and butter in heavy pan.
    Cook until reaches 236\u00b0 (soft ball stage).
    Add dates and mix well until mixture leaves sides of pan.
    Mixture will be thickened and dates cooked apart.
    Add coconut and walnuts.
    Mix well.
