Freezer Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. cabbage
    5 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
    2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Put salt over cabbage.
    Let stand one hour.
    Pour off juice. Mix water, sugar and vinegar; let it come to a boil.
    Pour this mixture over cabbage and let it cool, then freeze in small containers.
