Snowmobilers Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat
    6 large potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
    8 to 10 carrots, sliced
    1/2 c. water
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Preparation
    In Dutch oven place half meat, potato and carrots.
    Repeat layers.
    Add water and tomato sauce.
    Sprinkle onion soup mix over top.
    Do not stir.
    Cover and bake at 250\u00b0 for 5 hours.
