Corn Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
1/4 c. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
1 1/4 c. corn meal
3 tsp. baking powder
3 Tbsp. shortening or bacon fat
Preparation

Mix and bake in 450\u00b0 oven.
For muffins, 10 to 15 minutes. For cornbread, 20 to 25 minutes.
