Butterscotch Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugars, milk and butter in heavy saucepan; cook until soft ball stage, 235\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Remove from heat; beat until mixture begins to thicken, about 1 minute.
    Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan; cool.
    Cut into serving pieces.
