Hot Dog Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. onions
    4 c. cabbage
    4 c. green tomatoes
    4 c. green and red sweet peppers
    6 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1-1/2 tsp. turmeric
    4 c. cider vinegar
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. salt
    6 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Grind the vegetables and sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight.
    Rinse and drain all of the water out of the vegetables.
    Combine the mustard and celery seed, vinegar and turmeric and pour over vegetables.
    Heat to boiling and simmer for 3 minutes.
    Add the cornstarch and water and stir until thickened. Seal in sterilized jars.
