Honey Corn Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. prepared diced apple
    1/3 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/3 c. cornmeal
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/4 c. honey
Preparation
    Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt.
    Sift again; add cornmeal.
    Wash, pare and dice apples.
    Combine egg, milk, honey and shortening.
    Add all at once to flour-cornmeal mixture, stirring only enough to dampen all flour.
    Fold in apple. Bake in well greased 2-inch muffin pans at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until done.
