Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 8-inch unbaked pie shell w/crust for two crust pie
    1 c sugar
    1 t cinnamon
    1 c boiling water
    approx 35 saltine crackers, coarsely crushed
    1 t nutmeg
    1 t cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix all filling ingredients in a bowl.
    Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
    Dot with butter and pour cup of boiling water over the mixture.
    Put on top crust and bake at 425 F for 30 minutes.
    This tastes surprisingly like apple pie.
